Is Indian television missing out?
India has its idea of online streaming in a bunch as well. Hotstar is one of the very few online platforms that have (somewhat) taken off and all it has done till now, is show us the same content as the normal TV does. FELICITATION CEREMONY AT 125th ANNIVERSARY OF TIATR ACADEMY OF GOA
Margao (Goa): “Tiatr should come in the circuit of tourism in Goa and get flourished further. I will pursue this idea with the Tourism department to make it a reality,” said TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai. MARATHI FILM RINGAN ALL SET FOR RELEASE ON JUNE 30
Panaji (Goa): National Award winning Marathi film ‘Ringan’ will hit the screens on June 30, 2017. Due to lack of distribution means and channels, audiences remain deprived from some unique films. MANOHAR PARRIKAR BACK ON ESG
Panaji (Goa): Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar- who was instrumental in constituting the Entertainment Society of Goa- the nodal agency hosting the International Film Festival of India (IFFI)- is back as its chief, as the government reconstitute the body for a period of three years.

A few months ago, I happened to watch a drama in Mumbai by the name of Mughal-E-Azam, inspired by the famous movie having the same name. Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi movie to be tax free in Goa
After Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Maharashtra among few other states, the Goa government has decided to exempt tax to ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ that chronicles the life of the late Gwalior royal and BJP leader Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia, on screen.
“The Government of Goa is pleased to exempt the Hindi film ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ from the liability of payment of entertainment tax in whole, when screened in any of the theatres in the State for a period till May 22,” the government notification reads.

The National award winning film ‘K Sera Sera -Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem’, is all set to hit silver screens a day after collecting award for the ‘Best Regional Film (Konkani) at the 64th National Film Awards in Delhi at the Hands of the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.

Goa should become a hub for film related services: Rajeev Shinde
Goa: In 1997, his Konkani film ‘Dekhni Durai’ won the Best Film and Best Director Award at the Goa State Film Festival.
