GOA SESSION: STATE TO GET RS 15,000 CR POWER BOOST

Porvorim (Goa) Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar told the House that Goa has drafted comprehensive scheme costing Rs 15,000 crore to upgrade existing infrastructure.

“We have worked out Rs 15,000 crore worth comprehensive plan which will ensure undisrupted power supply to the state. The plan will cover entire Goa fixing all the problems so that there will be uninterrupted power supply,” Madkaikar said addressing the House during his address on demands for grants of his department.

Porvorim (Goa): Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte told legislative assembly that they have received 4,200 applications to regularize the structure on their private land. The exercise to scrutinize them will start from August 10.

Panaji (Goa) The Election Commission of India has announced the dates for by-election in Panaji and Valpoi constituencies. Both the constituencies will go for poll on August 23, while counting would be held on August 28.
