PCC ASK SONIA GANDHI TO NOMINATE THEIR NEW STATE PRESIDENT
Panaji (Goa) The newly elected Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) today unanimously resolved to authorize National President Sonia Gandhi to nominate the next State Congress chief.
The GPCC also resolved to request party vice president Rahul Gandhi to accept the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president ship.
Speaking to reporters post meeting, Pradesh Returning Officer (PRO) MP Dhrunarayan said that PCC has unanimously resolved to authorize Sonia Gandhi to nominate the PCC State president and AICC members.
The resolution was moved by Assistant PRO Pankaj Punia and seconded by Ravi Naik.

Panaji (Goa) Congress party today accused BJP led government of being ‘anti bahujan’ while claiming that the samaj is being used by the saffron party to strengthen its base in State politics.
Addressing press conference, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary Girish Chodankar said that he is addressing media on behalf of BJP Bahujan samaj leaders and workers, whose voices are being suppressed by the party and are feeling threatened.

GOA: VIJAY BHIKE TO HEAD NORTH DISTRICT CONGRESS COMMITTEE
Panaji (Goa) Vijay Bhike is elected as the new president of the North District Congress Committee.
Bhike, who secured 35 votes, defeated his opponent Subodh Amonkar who managed to get 29 votes.
The six district committee members from each of 19 blocks in North Goa, cast their vote today.
The names of four vice presidents in each district and 21 executive committee members would be announced on October 3, post INC working committee meeting in New Delhi.
This election will be followed by the election of State Pradesh Congress Committee.
JOE DIAS IS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF SOUTH GOA CONGRESS COMMITTEE
Panaji (Goa) Joe Dias is elected unopposed as the new president of Congress South Goa District Committee, the polling for which is scheduled on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, only one nomination of Dias was received for the president post.
For the North Goa district committee president post total two nominations have been received- former committee member Vijay Bhike and Mapusa Block committee president Subodh Amonkar have applied.
The election is scheduled on Wednesday between 10am to 12 pm for South Goa committee and 3pm to 5pm for North.
The results would be declared after October 3.

GOA: BLOCK RETURNING OFFICERS APPOINTED FOR CONGRESS ORGANISATIONAL ELECTIONS
Pradesh returning officer Pankaj Punia and district returning officer of North District Vinayak Deshmukh and Rohit Joshi have appointed block returning officers for the Congress organisational elections, of which, party electoral rolls have been published on September 12, 2017.
