Museum of Goa announces an Origami Workshop by Supriya Lingayat.
The workshop would be held at the Museum of Goa, from 25 to 26 Nov, 2017 from 3 pm to 5:30 pm.
The two day workshop would touch upon various ideas and techniques of origami, inspiring people to get creative.
The workshop will constitute of session on
- Storytelling (Origami related)
- Basics of origami (rules)
- Various folding ways
- Creating various organic/inorganic objects of paper
- Audio Visual (small film on origami if we have the facility)

A Division Bench of the Bombay High Court comprising of Justice Nitin Jamdar and Justice Nutan Sardesai will on Tuesday 31st October hear the contempt of Court petition filed by Adv. Panaji (Goa) Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded to the North Goa Collector to ban the illegal sale of Chinese fire crackers on the occasion of Dipawali . HJS has handed over a memorandum on 13th October in this regards to the NG Collector.

Panaji (Goa) Indian Medical Association’s Goa branch has welcomed decision by State government to withdraw free treatment facility to non-goans in different hospitals.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane yesterday had announced that from this December onwards, the non-Goans who arrive to take treatment in government run hospitals will have to pay.
“We strongly support him and urge him to start charging the patients from outside the State as early as possible,” IMA Goa President Medha Salkar has said in a statement issued here.

GOA: VILLAGE PANCHAYATS TO HOLD SPECIAL GRAM SABHAS ON GANDHI JAYANTI
The state government has directed village panchayats to hold special gram sabhas on the constitution of Biodiversity Mining Committee (BMC) on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
The composition of BMC of the village panchayats being a statutory body will be constituted /reconstituted at the gram sabhas, each having a total of seven members including the panchayat secretary as BMC’s secretary. DEPT OF TOURISM UNDERTAKES SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN INITIATIVES
The Department of Tourism, Govt. of Goa is observing a fortnight long ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ and ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ initiative under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Sanitation and cleanliness drives are being undertaken at key tourism locations in the state.
The initiative commenced on Saturday, September 16 on D.B. Marg, Panjim, where staff of the Department of Tourism cleaned out solid waste along a 3 km stretch from Kala Academy to Old GMC.
