Porvorim (Goa) Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar has told the ongoing State Assembly session that village walks and home stays would be promoted under the new tourism master plan.

Ajgaonkar in a written reply tabled on the floor of the House has given details about the tourism department’s plans for the future. A private consultancy firm has been already engaged to prepare the tourism master plan for the state.

Panaji (GOA): Goa Government has constituted State Level Marketing and Promotion Committee (SLMPC) for promotion of Goa as a tourism destination at national and international platform.

PANAJI (GOA): The GTDC will be organising a trek on July 2, Sunday, at Nagzar Plateau in the Pernem Taluka.

The travel distance from Panaji by road to the village is 35kms one way, with a total trekking distance of 5 kms.

GTDC’S TREKKING EXPEDITION AT COLLEM ON JUNE 25

PANAJI (GOA): GTDC’s eco-trekking expedition will be conducted on Sunday, June 25, at Collem.  This trek will cover a total travel distance of 120 kms from Panaji and back and with a total trekking distance of 4 kms.

Panaji (Goa): With littering of liquor bottles and plastic waste being a common phenomenon as the monsoon tourism kick starts, the State Forest Department has prohibited consumption of alcohol and littering of plastic waste at the touristic spots.

Forest Department has declared the forest areas, sanctuaries, national parks and waterfalls as ‘No plastic’ and ‘No Alcohol’ zones.

The forest department has issued series of guidelines to the visitors visiting the touristic spots for trekking or picnics.
