COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST PARRIKAR, PARSEKAR BY CONGRESS

PANAJI

Goa Congress has filed complaint against Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and former Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar for illegally renewing mining leases in 2014-15.
The Congress delegation led by GPCC president Girish Chodankar has filed a complaint with DGP at Head Quarters in Panaji.
“We have filed a complaint against the present Chief Minister (Parrikar)and ex-CM (Parsekar) for illegal renewal of leases which were quashed by High Court. The Supreme Court has passed strong strictures against the government as they had hurriedly renewed the leases. There is a possibility of conspiracy and corruption behind such act of the government,” said Chodankar.
“We have filed a complaint with the DGP and have asked him to initiate necessary action and register an FIR under section 406, 420, 120(b) of IPC on the present and ex CM and also initiate action against the officers involved in this,” informed Chodankar.
Chodankar also warned to take to street if the complaint is not registered within 5 days.
