GOA GOVT FILES CONTEMPT PETITION AGAINST KARNATAKA OVER MHADEI ISSUE

Goa government has filed a contempt petition in Supreme Court against Karnataka over Mhadei issue. Sidelining orders of Court Karnataka has continued its canal work at Kankumbi and diverted Mhadei riverwaters to Malprabha basin.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, WRD Minister Vinod Palyekar and WRD ministry have also written to Karnataka government about the contempt of Court orders.
