HANDOVER HOME PORTFOLIO TO ANOTHER CAPABLE MINISTER: NSUI ADVISES CM PARRIKAR
The National Students Union of India (NSUI) has advised Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to handover the Home portfolio to another capable minister.
In a press note issued the NSUI has said that the recent death of a tourist due to the suspected drug overdose case in Anjuna sends a very wrong message on the eve of the tourist season, the suspicious death of the youth proves the availability of drugs in Goa and the Home department must take complete responsibility and come out with a permanent solution to curb the drug menace.
The president of NSUI Ahraz Mulla said, “the death of tourists in Goa due to suspected drug cases will also affect the number of youth that comes to Goa and will affect the tourism industry. The CM has to take cognizance at the earliest or otherwise handover the home portfolio to another capable minister before the tourists start pouring in, without which the state will become a mess.”
