MMC WARNS HOTEL OWNERS STRICT ACTION IF FOUND RELEASING SEWAGE INTO DRAINS

The chief officer of Margao Municipal Council (MMC), Siddhivinayak Naik, on Tuesday warned of taking strict action against hotel owners who are found releasing hotel trash into drains.  “The hotel owners might lose their licence if they fail to follow norms,” said Naik.
 
Following complaints from locals that hotels were were releasing sewage into the open, Naik conducted an inspection of the market area. 
 
The inspection team consisted of MMC sanitary inspector Viraj Arabekar, local councillor Damu Naik and municipal engineer Manoj Arsekar
