The three-day Directors of Competition (DOC) meet convened by the National Games Organising Committee concluded on Friday, October 5.
Sports Secretary  Ashok  J. Kumar (IAS), the Executive Director, the Sports Authority of Goa  V. M. Prabhudesai and members of the GTCC (Games Technical Conduct Committee) namely Mukesh Kumar (Chairman), S. M. Bali and Dhanraj Choudary, were part of the National Games committee which held extensive discussions with competition directors of most of the games which are a part of the National Games, which was followed by site visits.
Due to some exigencies and in some cases pre-planned activities, the Directors of Competition (DOC) for the Sport of Yachting, Tennis and Basketball could not be available for the meeting. Gymnastics and Kabaddi went unrepresented on account of some disputes at the Federation level.
14 different Directors of Competition attended Day 3 of the meet. Most of the Directors of Competition expressed their satisfaction over the venues and a few requested modifications/ alterations. During the debriefing session on Friday held at PJN Stadium with all the Directors of Competition, the requirements of competition management and other sport-specific requirement were captured.
Meanwhile, the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) has convened a meeting on October 8 (3.00 pm) at the Conference Hall, Sports Authority of Goa, Dr S.P.M. Stadium, Taleigao in order to understand the requirement of Coaches for the respective Sports disciplines for the conduct of the National Games. All the respective Secretaries/ representatives of the State Sports Associations have been asked to attend the same.
