The Congress today demanded the resignation of ailing  Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar over the rape of a British national on Thursday in Palolem, Canacona.

The increasing number of sexual assaults on foreign nationals in the state will have an adverse impact on Goa’s tourism and also the image of the state, Goa Mahila Congress chief Pratima Coutinho told reporters at the state Congress headquarters.

“The CM is not keeping good health. He is not ready to distribute portfolios. He is the home minister of Goa and molestation, rapes are increasing day by day,” Coutinho said.
